Murano Orangey Red & Uranium Yellow Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

A Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of orangey red glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow a brilliant bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 4.75 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of tiny dimpled nicks to the base rim, shown in final picture.
