Murano Vintage Green & Amber Sommerso Cased Glass Vase

Description

A Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.

Size

Measures approx 3.75 inches tall by 5.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a small nibble to the base rim, and some minor internal staining from use, all shown in final pictures.
