Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian organic glass basket shaped vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  Possibly made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked. In a stunning combination of turquoise glass encased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 7.75 inches tall by 6.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
