Salviati Murano Zanfirico & Copper Aventurine Glass Finger Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass finger bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and copper aventurine. Made by Salviati, similar items are shown in the book "Italian Glass - Century 20" by Leslie Pina, page 139.

Size

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, just a burst air bubble to the base rim, shown in final picture. Caused during the manufacturing process, but looks and feels like a small nibble.
