Welz Bohemian Yellow & Red Spatter Glass Victorian Basket Bowl

Description

A Bohemian blown glass basket shaped bowl with yellow inner casing, pink, red and brown speckled, textured pattern, and applied clear glass handle. Made by the Franz Welz factory, this is a known Welz shape. Glows bright yellow in places under UV light, due to the presence of cadmium sulphide in the glass mixture.

Size

Measures approx 6.75 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. The rim feels a little rough in a couple of places, but on close inspection I cannot see any damage, just the odd extra tiny spot of glass from the manufacturing process.
