Holmegaard Style White Glass Gulvvase / Floor Vase

Description

A stunning copy of the iconic 'Gulvvase' (Danish for floor vase), which was originally made by Holmegaard Kastrup of Denmark, and designed by Otto Brauer in 1962. This version looks very convincing, the size and shape is spot on, however the weight is noticeably heavier, and instead of two layers of clear and white cased glass, it seems to be made of clear glass dipped in a fine layer of paint or enamel. This is only apparent when viewing the clear base (pictured).

Measures approx 9.75 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of small surface scratches to the neck, which reveal the clear glass beneath, shown in final picture.
