Sowerby #1154½ Victorian Purple Malachite / Slag Glass Spill Vase

Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass spill vase in purple & white marbled malachite glass, also known as slag glass. This design, pattern number 1154½ is shown on page 1 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882. No makers marks.

Size

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 2.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nick to the rim, shown in final picture.
