Description

A stunning Victorian 1890's British glass "thorn" vase. Consists of a tubular opalescent yellow green glass flower holder with rustic stylised tree root "feet", and pulled out thorns. A similar vase is shown in the book Victorian Decorative Glass by Mervyn Gulliver, page 98. Most likely made by John Walsh Walsh from Birmingham, England. Made in vaseline/uranium glass, which glows bright green in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 3.75 inches tall by 2.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of nibbles to the thorns, all shown in final picture. There is also a burst manufacturing air bubble to the inside of the vase.
