Murano/Venetian Red & Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian freeform glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of red glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 7 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. There is a tiny "dot" on one side, shown in final picture, which is probably a small burst air bubble or manufacturing fault. Hardly noticable.
