Murano Green, Black & Gold Leaf Glass Zig Zag Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece is unmarked. In a stunning combination of clear glass filled with gold leaf inclusions, large black patches and thick green zig zag lines, which give a striking and original effect.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Mentioned for accuracy, there is a smooth indentation to the base, which is the remains of the pontil scar and not damage.
