Barovier & Toso Murano Cordonato d'Oro Gold Leaf Glass Bird

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass bird sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Barovier & Toso, and designed by the renowned Italian designer Ercole Barovier, part of his 'Cordonato d'Oro' range. Very similar pieces can be seen in the book Italian Glass: Century 20 by Leslie Pina, pages 31 - 32. Made in clear cased glass with loads of gold leaf inclusions encased in the glass.

Size

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
