Galliano Ferro Murano Sommerso Blue & Uranium Glass Stem Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass teardrop stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by Galliano Ferro. Still bears the original factory label. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow a brilliant bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 11.25 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just some mild internal staining from use.
