Murano Red, Amber & Uranium Green Sommerso Glass Swan Figurine

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass swan or duck sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of orangey red glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in yellow green uranium glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light, a feature which is very popular with collectors these days. Still bears the original generic Murano glass label.

Measures approx 8.25 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
