Arte Nuova Murano Blue & Uranium Yellow Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass bowl / ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked, but this design can be found online with a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy". In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.  Glows bright green in UV light, and even glows in normal sunlight!

Measures approx 1.75 inches tall by 4.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few small surface scratches to the inside rim, shown in final picture.
