Tango glass or mono-coloured glass is a technique originally created by Loetz in the 1930's, which was soon reproduced by companies such as Kralik, Ruckl, Welz and others. Tango glass usually consists of a blown glass vase, bowl or other object, in a bright colour such as orange, yellow or red, with applied glass decoration in another darker colour such as black or blue or sometimes white. The applied decoration is usually in the form of an outline to the rim, and/or handles, twists and lobes.
