Aseda Glasbruk was founded in Sweden in 1947. Bo Borgstrom began designing glass for Aseda in 1960. Aseda became part of the Royal Krona Group in 1975, which went bankrupt in 1977.
I would like to give a special thanks to Carola Ericsson, who helped to identify most of the items shown on this page. Carola is a Swedish collector of Aseda glass, and the most knowledgeable person I know on the subject! If anyone would like to learn more about Aseda glass, I would recommend joining the Aseda glass group on facebook, of which Carola and several other knowledgeable Aseda collectors are members.
