Whitefriars Style Emerald Green Glass Horizontal Optic Vase

Description

A beautiful large and heavy (1.4kg unpacked) emerald / turquoise green glass vase with horizontal optical ribbing, very similar in style to designs by Whitefriars, and the colour is a close match to their "emerald" green, which was in production from the early 1930's to 1940. However I cannot find this design in any of their known catalogues. There are several gaps in the available catalogues, such as none from 1932 - 1936, so it is possible this could be an unknown design from those years, or of course it could be by a different manufacturer. Either way, it is a beautiful, high quality piece.

Measures approx 8 inches tall by 5.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, just a few fine surface scratches, mainly to the inside, and a thin horizontal ring of water staining, all shown in final pictures.
