SIGNED Jobling #5000 Art Deco Opalescent Glass Fircone Plate

Description

A wonderful art deco glass plate, made in opaline/opalescent glass. Made by British company Jobling in the 1930's, part of their 'Fircone' pattern range (catalogue number 5000). Featured in the book "A Collectors Guide to Jobling 1930's Decorative Glass", page 41. Jobling's opalescent glass was made to rival Lalique glassware, and the range was named Opalique. This plate is signed on the back "Joblings Opalique" and has the British registered design number 777133 embossed on the base.

Size

Measures approx 0.5 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, but has quite a lot of surface wear scratches, see photos.
