Sea Glasbruk was created in Sweden in 1956 by Inge Samuelsson, Sven Ernstsson, and Tore Andersson, when they purchased the Ekeberga glassworks, just outside the town of Kosta. Ekeberga was founded in 1953. The name "SEA" comes from the initials of the three owners surnames. Designers as the factory include Goran Anneborg, Lena Engman, Bjorn Ramel, Renate Stock and Rune Strand. Sea Glasbruk is now part of Orrefors Kosta Boda AB.
