Spatter glass, also known as splatter glass, end-of-day glass or splashed glass, is a technique that has been used for several centurines, and dates right back to the Romans. A few countries have produced spatter glass, the most commonly found spatter glass these days being of Czech / Bohemian origin, as shown in the pictures below. Spatter glass is produced by rolling hot blown glass over small pieces or chips of coloured glass. It is not always easy identify the manufacturers of Czech spatter glass, but the most likely contenders for this type of glass are Kralik or Welz.
