Description

A Victorian 1900's peach + white satin cased glass globe vase, with "herringbone" air trap pattern. Possibly by one of the British makers from the Stourbridge area such as Thomas Webb, but could also be Czech/Bohemian, where similar glassware was made at the same time, for the British market. Similar items are shown in the book "Victorian Decorative Glass, British Designs, 1850-1914" by Mervyn Gulliver, pages 154 - 155, and in the book "Collectible Bohemian Glass 1880-1940" by Robert & Deborah Truitt, page 131.

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of tiny nicks and generally rough finish to the rim, and some dirt that has got into the air trap sections near the rim, all shown in final pictures.
