Murano Geode Green & Amber Sommerso Glass Triangle Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass 'geode' bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. These bowls were made by several manufacturers, including Archimede Seguso and Cenedese. Very similar items by these makers are shown in the book Italian Glass: Century 20 by Leslie Pina. In a stunning combination of blue, green and amber cased glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.
