Murano / Venetian Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Vintage Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass vase made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Possibly made by the Ferro & Lazzarini factory, similar items can be found online with labels. In a stunning combination of red & amber glass encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 9.75 inches tall by 5.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of fleabite nicks to the base edge, shown in final picture, and a couple of minor manufacturing flaws (air bubbles, faint lines/streaks etc), as to be expected with hand blown glass.
