Description

A large and heavy (1.3 kg unpacked) Venetian glass basket shaped vase or bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Can look greenish when the blue is viewed through the amber layer.

Size

Measures approx 12 inches tall by 7.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
