Cristallo Venezia CCC Murano Purple & Blue Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks. Very similar pieces with the same star shaped base can be found online with labels that read "Cristallo Venezia, CCC". To see some labelled examples, please see my Pinterest board here. In a stunning combination of purple glass encased in blue glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 7.5 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
