Tall Murano/Sommerso 1950's Red & Blue Glass Stem Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful tall 1950/60's Venetian glass teardrop stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Possibly by Seguso Vetri d'Arte or Galliano Ferro. In a stunning combination of red glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 9.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. For accuracy there is some 'rounding' to the base rim, which may be the result of restoration, shown in final picture.
