Seguso Vetri d'Arte #14151 Purple & Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian purple + blue sommerso glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Seguso Vetri d'Arte, and designed by Mario Pinzoni, pattern number 14151 in 1969. Shown in the excellent book Seguso Vetri d'Arte - Glass Objects from Murano (1932-1973) by Marc Heiremans, page 297.

Size

Measures approx 5.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Only thing to mention is a tiny speck on the side of the vase, which could be either a minute fleabite or scratch, but it really is too small to tell. Shown in centre of final picture.
