Murano Blue & Amber Cased Sommerso Glass Swan Figurine

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass swan sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of blue glass encased in amber glass (the blue viewed through the amber layer looks green in places) , using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 6.75 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Mentioned for accuracy - the swan has a rather large...backside, and as such is a bit "bottom heavy", which can cause it to tip over if knocked, so needs to be displayed on something stable that won't wobble.
