AVEM Murano Blue & White Glass Zanfirico Posy Bowl / Vase

Description

A stunning Venetian glass posy bowl / vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and blue twisted ribbons, with applied clear glass base filled with gold leaf inclusions. Made by the AVEM glassworks, pattern number 11892, this design is shown in the book "AVEM, Arte Vetraria Muranese, Artistic Production 1932 - 1972" by Marc Heiremans, page 207.

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.
