Description

A stunning Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and pink, blue, green, yellow and red ribbons, some of which are trimmed in copper aventurine. Made by the AVEM glassworks, pattern number 11897, this design is shown in the book "AVEM, Arte Vetraria Muranese, Artistic Production 1932 - 1972" by Marc Heiremans, page 207.

Size

Measures approx 4.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a faint ring of water staining in the bottom of the vase, about 1 cm up from the base, shown in final picture.
