Murano / Venetian Gold Leaf Blue & Purple Glass Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass shell shaped bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of iridescent purple glass, cased in an outer layer of blue glass filled with gold leaf inclusions.

Size

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a small black dot of ash in the glass on the inside, from the manufacturing process, and a couple of surface scratches in the same area, all shown in final picture.
