Murano Faceted Blue & Amber Sommerso Glass Block Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This style of glassware is usually attributed to Mandruzzato, although other manufacturers have made similar items, including Oball, Campanella and Nason. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 5.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of nicks to the inside rim, and an intact manufacturing air bubble in the glass, all shown in final pictures.
