Murano Faceted Amber Sommerso Glass Block Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This style of glassware is usually attributed to Mandruzzato, although other manufacturers have made similar items, including Oball, Campanella and V. Nason. In a stunning combination of amber glass encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 2 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of microscopic fleabites to the inside rim, and what seems to be a small manufacturing flaw/dimple to one side edge, all shown in final pictures.
