Murano Faceted Amber Sommerso Glass Block Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This style of glassware is usually attributed to Mandruzzato, although other manufacturers have made similar items, including Oball, Campanella and V. Nason. Made in amber encased glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of tiny nicks to the inside rim, shown in final picture.
