HUGE 2.4kg Murano Faceted Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Block Bowl

Description

Here is a magnificent, large and very heavy (2.4 kilos unpacked) Venetian glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This style of glassware is usually attributed to Mandruzzato, although other manufacturers have made similar items, including Oball, Campanella and V. Nason. In a stunning combination of red glass cased in a band of blue green glass, which is further encased in an angular block of amber glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a tiny fleabite and small faint bruise mark to the outside rim, shown in final pictures.
