Arte Nuova Pustetto & Zanetti Murano Sommerso Uranium Glass Vase

Description

A large and heavy Venetian glass sculpture vase / bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's. Still bears the original factory label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy". The factory was open only for a relatively short time, from 1954 to 1965. Consists of pink glass encased in uranium yellow glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.
