Cristallo Venezia CCC Murano Red & Blue Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass sculpture bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks. Very similar pieces with the same star shaped base can be found online with labels that read "Cristallo Venezia, CCC". To see some labelled examples, please see my Pinterest board here. In a stunning combination of orangey red glass encased in pale blue glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Measures approx 7 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of nicks to the base rim, shown in final picture.
