MARKED Caithness Vintage Black & White Glass "Streamers" Paperweight

Description

A beautiful black and white glass paperweight made by Caithness of Scotland. The design is named  "Streamers" , factory marked to the base. No box. The background colour is neodymium glass (also known as alexandrite glass), which changes colour according to different lighting conditions. It appears lilac in natural sunlight or yellow artificial light, and smoky blue in flourescent/white light (see pictures).This is due to the presence of neodymium oxide (Nd²O³) in the glass.

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
