A wonderful Victorian pressed glass basket shaped bowl, made in white milk glass (also known as vitro-porcelain glass. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1880's, and bears their trademark of a peacock and a design lozenge on the base. This design, pattern number 1254.5 is shown on page 4 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882. This particular colour range was called Blanc de Lait.


Measures approx 2 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.


Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
