Sowerby Art Deco Uranium Green Glass Nude Lady Figurine

Description

A wonderful art deco frosted green glass 'seated lady' figurine. Made by British maker Sowerby, and shown in their 1956 catalogue Illustrated List No 38, page 13. Small amounts of uranium in the glass mixture cause it to glow bright green under UV light, a harmless and interesting feature which has become very collectable these days.

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
