Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass basket bowl in purple & white marbled malachite glass, also known as slag glass. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1880's, and bears their peacock trademark on the inside base. This design, pattern number 1102 is shown on page 1 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882.

Size

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 3.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
