Sowerby #1102 Victorian White Milk Glass Basket Bowl - Marked

Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass basket bowl, made in white milk glass (also known as vitro-porcelain glass. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1880's, and bears their trademark of a peacock on the inside base. This design, pattern number 1102 is shown on page 1 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882. This particular colour range was called Blanc de Lait.

Size

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
