Description

A wonderful Victorian green wine glass, with etched grapes pattern, and six cut glass panels to the bowl section and upper knop. Most likely produced by the British firm Percival Vickers & Co from Manchester, England, circa 1870's. This design, without the etched pattern, is shown in Barrie Skelcher's "Big Book of Vaseline Glass", page 89, where he gives the source of attribution as a Percival Vickers & Co 1881 catalogue. Made in uranium green glass, which glows bright green in UV light. Ground and highly polished pontil mark to base.

Size

Measures approx 5 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
