Müller & Co 'Cherubs' Art Deco Blue Glass Centrepiece Stand

Description

A wonderful art deco frosted blue glass stand with figural cherubs design. Matching bowls can be found which sit on top of this base. It could also be used to hold large candles. Made in Germany, by the Schweig, Müller & Co glassworks. Reference: [click here]. This piece is unmarked, but I have had other examples that were marked on the base "Regd No 756470, Foreign". This British design number can be narrowed down to having been registered in July, 1930. Due to the similarity with other known designs, it is thought to have been most likely registered by UK importer M & J Guggenheim Ltd.

Measures approx 7 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a few tiny fleabite nicks to the inside rim, shown in final pictures, and a couple of manufacturing "straw marks", perfectly normal for pressed glass.
