 Sold / Reference

A wonderful Victorian 1890's opaque custard glass vase, with applied amber edging to the crimped rim, and amber frilled decoration. Small amounts of uranium in the glass cause it to glow bright green in UV light. Custard glass was made by several Victorian era glass factories, including Stevens & Williams and Boulton & Mills from the Stourbridge area of England, and Czech/Bohemian maker Harrach.

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Has a chip to one of the bottom "lobes" on the frilled decoration, difficult to spot and shown in final picture.
