Cristallo Venezia Murano Red & Uranium Green Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

A Venetian organic glass sculpture bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks. Very similar pieces can be found online with labels that read "Cristallo Venezia, CCC". In a stunning combination of orangey red glass cased in a subtle layer of pale yellow green uranium glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The green layer glows bright green in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 9.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of nibbles to the base rim, and a manufacturing flaw (black streak in the glass) all shown in final pictures. Also has a very tiny nick to edge of the top rim, which would not show up on camera.
