Galliano Ferro Murano Bullicante Green & Lilac Glass Candle Holder - Label

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass candlestick holder, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Galliano Ferro, and still bears the original factory label. In a stunning combination of lilac/smoky blue glass with a green base and a controlled bubble effect known as bullicante. Made in neodymium glass (also known as alexandrite glass), which changes colour according to different lighting conditions! It appears lilac in natural sunlight or yellow artificial light, and smoky blue in fluorescent/white light (see pictures).

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
