Mdina Maltese Blue Glass 'Fish' / 'Axe Head' Vase - Signed 1979

Description

A wonderful, heavy (2 kg unpacked) Maltese blue & green glass Fish vase, also known by collectors as an Axe Head vase, by Mdina, signed to base "Mdina 1979". Made in blue glass encased in clear glass, with applied strapping, and internal yellow Crizzle pattern (looks green when viewed through the blue casing).

Size

Measures approx 7.75 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few small faint surface scratches, mentioned for accuracy.
