Description
Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass duck or swan sculpture. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by Arte Nuova. Still bears the original but very worn factory label, which would normally read "Arte Nuova Murano, Grand Prize, Genuine Venetian Glass, World Fair Brussels 1958". In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in uranium yellow glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light.Size
Measures approx 6 inches tall by 2.75 inches in diameter at widest point.Condition
