Welz Pair of Czech Art Deco Orange & White Tango Glass Vases

Description

A superb pair of 1930's Czech / Bohemian orange blown glass vases with applied white glass rims. Made by Franz Welz. This shape is confirmed as Welz in the Welz Facebook group. Ref: [click here] (must be a member to view). Known as "mono-coloured" or "tango" glass, this technique was developed by Loetz around 1914.

Size

Measure approx 8.25 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of manufacturing air bubbles in the glass.
